Fort Richard attended Medica 09, the worlds largest Medical Trade Fair on 17-19 November. The show was a great success, allowing us to continue to be at the forefront of the latest developments in clinical microbiology diagnostics.

| New Haemophilus Identification Products |
Fort Richard Laboratories offers you cost effective identification of H.influenzae and other Haemophilus species using MAST X&V identification discs. Confirmation may be enhanced using the MAST ALA discs for porphyrin.
Though demonstrating requirement for both X & V growth factors is commonly used to identify H.influenzae, there are occasions when these discs alone may lead to erroneous results. This usually occurs when haemin is inadvertently transferred with the inoculum from a source containing it, so that growth occurs around the V factor disc as well as the XV disc. Consequently, the isolate may be incorrectly identified as H.parainfluenzae.This may be overcome with use of the ALA disc in conjunction with X&V factor discs.
Fort Richard Laboratories are pleased to bring you the MAST range of Haemophilus growth factor discs as well as ALA discs. We are mindful that one size does not fit all when it comes to laboratory consumables. Hence the MAST discs are available in packs of 5 x 50 cartridges or vials of 100 discs. We also offer a stylish, robust and easily identifiable MAST six place disc dispenser at a subsidized price for those laboratories using the cartridges.
